Estero High School Clubs
A-Team (Academic Team): A-Team aims to encourage, promote, and spotlight academic achievement and excellence among the area's top high school academic students. For the FQBA (Florida Quiz Bowl Association) Tournament League, collaborative teams of high school students from each school within a six-county area compete to answer questions in Science, Math, Arts and Humanities, Language Arts, Social Studies, and General Knowledge. Tryouts are held in August every year, with twelve spots available on the final team.
AICE Student Union: AICE Student Union (ASU) is a club for Cambridge students to enjoy service activities and events, gain support from fellow students, and learn how to evolve as a leaders. All Cambridge students are welcome to join and attend biweekly meetings on Tuesday, after school, in room TBA.
Art Club: Art Club is a group of students interested in the Visual Arts and looking for opportunities for community service.
Craft Club- is to create a welcoming and creative space where students can come together to learn, share, and express themselves through the art of sewing and crochet.
Debate Team-To provide a safe, open, and diverse environment for discussion dealing with real-world topics and encourage research and critical thinking.
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)- DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. Partnerships with businesses at local and broader levels provide DECA members with realistic insight into industry and promote meaningful, relevant learning.
Estero High School’s International Club: Discover new friends and cultures by meeting students who are interested in foreign languages, trying new foods, celebrating exciting holidays and traveling to new places. Our goal is to instill interest in an appreciation of the life, customs, and culture of people around the world.
Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA): A national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private schools through grade 12. FCCLA members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, career preparation and community service.
Future Educators of America (FEA): FFEA, or Florida Future Educators of America, is a school-based club that centers on the learning process and opportunity to participate in real-life classroom experience for students who have an interest in teaching.
Gaming Club: Gaming Club provides an opportunity for students to meet and compete with other students that are interested in both video games and tabletop card games. Students can bring in their devices and games to play.
Gender Sexuality Alliance (GSA): A GSA, or Gender-Sexuality Alliance, is a student-initiated and student-run club in school. The goal of a GSA is to provide a safe, supportive environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning (LGBTQ) and straight ally youth to meet and discuss sexual orientation and gender identity issues, and to work to create a school environment free of discrimination, harassment, and intolerance.
Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a global student-led organization recognized by the US Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services, and several federal and state agencies. HOSA’s mission is to empower HOSA-Future Health Professionals to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
Interact: The Interact Club is a service club sponsored by the local Rotary Club. The club participates in school-based service projects, community service projects, and an international project.
Key Club: Estero High School's Key Club is an award-winning service club that teaches leadership and provides opportunities for students to earn their service hours needed for AICE, Bright Futures Scholarship, and College entry requirements.
SAVE (Students Against Violence Everywhere) Promise Clubs -provide a space for young people to show their leadership, creativity, and passion for protecting their peers, schools, and communities from violence. SAVE Promise Clubs are student-led and, therefore, a powerful and empowering approach to violence prevention.
Mock Trial: The purpose of this club is to teach the students of Estero High School trial advocacy, and more importantly, to develop the club member’s skills in crafting and delivering an argument, questioning a witness, effective methods of persuasion, and public speaking. The aim of the club is to reach out to students who have an interest in law and trial proceedings, with the final goal to be holding a “mock trial”. The club will be involved in teaching students about the various components of a mock trial and eventually use those skills in a mock trial competition against other schools with a mock trial club. This club will allow students to learn more about the law and explore the elements of legal proceedings.
National Honor Society (NHS): The National Honor Society is an organization that recognizes students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership, and service. NHS is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals throughout the country, community, and school through volunteer work, fundraisers, and annual projects. We have a qualifying process in the Spring of one's Sophomore year if they have a GPA of 3.5 unweighted. Potential members must complete an application form detailing their merits in community service, special honors and awards, organizations and clubs, leadership activities, musical performance, and athletic involvement.
“On the Prowl” Student Newspaper: Estero High School’s student newspaper gives aspiring writers the opportunity to learn and apply the skills needed to be journalists in the 21st century. Students have the opportunity to have their writing published in multiple media.
Open Mic- A safe space for students to express inner feelings and characteristics about themselves through visual and spoken art, experimenting with the different types ( song, duet, dances, spoken poem, acting, spoken poem, visual art, graphics).
Pathways Club: The Pathways Club is open to all students at Estero High School. Once a month, the club meets to learn about different pathway options after high school. Guest speakers come to discuss job opportunities, career paths, educational paths, and so much more! Come to Pathways to learn about the options you have after you graduate from Estero High School!
Photography Club: Photography club will meet once a month after school on Mondays from 1:45-2:30 on the following dates: 9/19 – Landscape; 10/17 – Wildlife/Nature; 11/7 – Portrait; 12/5 – Sports/Action; 1/23 – Still Life; 2/6 – Architecture; 3/6 – Black and White; 4/17 – Animals; and 5/15 – “Showcase”.
Spirit Club: The Spirit Club is a student-run organization that seeks to generate/raise school spirit by supporting all sports/activities. Wildcats on 3.... wildcats on 3.... 123... WILDCATS!😁
Tri-M Music Society: The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education, which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. Tri-M is the only music honor society for middle school and high school students in the country. It is the equivalent to the National Honor Society, but for musicians. Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically. Tri-M provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects. Tri- M highlights the school’s music program, helps students grow in innumerable ways, and brightens their college applications.
Technology Student Association (TSA): The Technology Student Association is a national, non-profit organization of middle and high school students who are engaged in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). TSA is open to students enrolled in or who have already completed CTE Technology Education Courses at Estero High School. Members learn through exciting competitive events, leadership opportunities, and much more. State and National TSA competitions include categories such as Biotechnology Design, Career Prep, Coding, CompTIA ITF+ Certification, Cybersecurity, Digital Photography, Co2 Dragster Design, Flight, Leadership Strategies, Prepared Presentation, Software Development, Drone Flight Challenge, Technology Problem Solving, Video Game Design, Webmaster, and much more.
Video Game Club: To bring students together with the common shared interest of video games, play video games together, and talk all things video games.
Wildcat Marching Band: The EHS Wildcat Marching Band is a traveling music ensemble consisting of Marching Winds, Marching Percussion, and Color Guard. The club is open to all students who have at least some music performance experience. The students in this ensemble represent the school on many occasions around Lee County and heavily contribute the spirit of Estero High School.
