Cambridge puts value on certain learner attributes such as responsibility and reflection. See the full list and a video for more information.
The names of AICE Diploma recipients cannot be submitted to Bright Futures before the end of the senior year because they do not attach the eligibility info until the final transcript from the high school showing that they have indeed graduated is posted.
For class of 2019 graduating students who have already been awarded the AICE Diploma, Cambridge WILL be sending in their names to the Bright Futures office by end of April so their scholarship will be in effect for students starting college in Summer 2019.
For class of 2019 graduating students who are June 2019 AICE Diploma candidates, names of students who are awarded the AICE Diploma when results are announced in August will be sent to the FL Bright Futures office within 2 days if not on the same day that each of you receives your students’ results via CIE Direct (in August).
It typically takes the Bright Futures office 2 weeks to process all the information and to update the scholarship level in the database accessed by all Florida colleges and universities when calculating tuition fees due on the last day of registration drop / add. If necessary, students can tell the financial aid office at their university that they are a pending AICE diploma graduate and request a deferment on their fall tuition due date.
