Bright Futures Information and Your AICE Diploma

The names of AICE Diploma recipients cannot be submitted to Bright Futures before the end of the senior year because they do not attach the eligibility until the final transcript from the high school showing that they have indeed graduated is posted.
If a student is reliant on the AICE Diploma for Bright Futures, it will not show up until the August of their first college year, even if they received the ADIP in 11th grade. The list of qualifying students goes to Cambridge, and Bright Futures will confirm them for all graduated seniors in mid-August when the June 2023 scores release. At that time, the status should change from Ineligible to Eligible or from FMS (75%) to full FAS (100%). It may take until the end of August to post properly.

If the student is worried about it covering summer classes, talk to the registrar’s office and explain the situation to them. They will either defer payment, have the student pay and reimburse, or hold your check. Each school has a different plan for dealing with it and each one changes annually.
