Wish Week Facts 2023:
- Our Wish Kid Malerie (Mal for short) is a 4th grader who loves pizza, chicken wings, and basketball.
- Estero High School is the ONLY high school in Southwest Florida to hold a wish week.
- Estero High School has raised almost $30,000 in 6 years.
- This year is our 7th annual Wish Week. Our Goal is $8,000.
- The average cost of a wish is $6,000.
- Wish kids range in age from 2 to 18 years old
- Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of critically ill children in our area and all over the country.
- Four types of wishes:
- To be - Kids choose a job/career/lifestyle and experience it for a day.
- To have- Kids choose a bedroom makeover or a special thing.
- To go- Disney is the most popular destination.
- To meet- John Cena is the most requested celebrity.
Wishes give wish kids a chance to be “normal” in the midst of their critical illness.
