Digital design class is a fun creative class that teaches students to combine artistic principles with technology to create visually appealing content for print, web, games and other digital media. In class students will use and learn the industry-standard software Adobe Creative Suite specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

Students will have access to drawing tablets in addition to the software to further enhance their skills. Students will have the opportunity to sit for and become industry certified in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign and become an Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design by attaining those certifications. Skills learned include digital imaging, photo editing, drawing, creating vector graphics, layout, typography, and much more.

Students will work on several different projects during the year and attain skills necessary to design logos, posters, flyers, desktop designs, digital art and more. Digital design has four levels that build upon each other and could be taken all 4 years of high school.
