Science students at Estero High School are given the opportunity to select from a wide choice
of required and elective science courses. The Science Department focuses on inquiry based instruction and providing hands on learning that reinforces the scientific method and makes science interesting and relevant to the students. Science students receive pretests along with standardized test practice to prepare them for the state mandated Science FCAT Test. Freshman and sophomore students primarily take Integrated Science and Biology before advancing to their third science.
Honors level courses are offered for underclassman ready for a more rigorous program of studies. Chemistry, Marine Science , Environmental Science, and Zoology are various choices that upperclassman can select to complete the science requirements for graduation. Advanced courses such as AP Biology, Honors Chemistry and Honors Physics are offered to prepare students for college and beyond. Estero High School has a tradition of excellence that provides all students the key to success.
