Goal:  The goal of the Media Center is to cultivate in students a life-long appreciation of books and learning and to develop competence in accessing and using information.

The Estero H. S. Media Center is accepting book donations.  The books should be acceptable for teen readers and should be in good condition.  Books can be dropped off in the main office.  Thank you for supporting our students.

General Info: 

Open daily from 7:00am until 2:30 pm.  Students may use the Media Center before, during, and after school and during lunch.  If using the Media Center from class, a pass is required.

Computers are available for research, typing, and printing.  The Media Center also offers a variety of books, magazines and newspapers.
                     All textbooks are checked out through the Media Center

Debts: 

Students may not purchase a parking pass, Homecoming or Prom dance ticket, or participate in graduation until all debts including past due textbooks, library books, uniforms, club dues, fines, etc. are returned or paid for.  Call the Media Center at ext.202 to ask if your son/daughter has any debts..

Special Programs:
                            
Balloons:   The Media Center sells mylar balloons for all occasions – birthdays, good luck, congratulations, etc.  Surprise your son/daughter in a special way.  Call the Media Center to order.  All   profits benefit the Media Center.
                           
Florida Teens Read:  The mission of the program is to encourage Florida teens to read enjoyable, quality literature to help foster a lifelong love for reading.  Students choose 3 of the 13 selected titles and then write a short book report.  Once students have completed the 3 book reports they are eligible to participate in the annual book buying trip to Barnes & Noble.  Profits from the balloon sales are used.  The link for Florida Teens Read is www.sunlink.ucf.edu/announce/teenreads.html
