Started in 2001, Estero High’s Chemistry Society began as an academic club for those students who excelled in the area of chemistry alone. However, within the last few years, the Society has opened its doors to all students who share a love for science.
The first year for Chemistry Society was an exciting one. We arranged a trip to the University of Miami, Chemistry Department, for members of the club. Given a personal tour of the university’s science labs, students came away with greater interest in the content area, with many Estero students declaring science as a major their freshman year of college.
Students who are interested in becoming a part of Chemistry Society should see Mr. E.J. Stewart in room 213.
