Department Announcements
- Students are encouraged to rent PE lockers to secure their items-school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- All students are required to dress in appropriate athletic attire to participate for credit.
- Students with injuries are who are ill can still earn credit via make up work from their PE teacher.
- HOPE & Teams Sports classes give a CCE this year (2011-2012); pretest and post- test to all students .

The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop advanced knowledge and skills in weight training, further improve muscular strength and endurance, and further enhance self-image.

The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop knowledge and skills in basketball and to maintain or improve health-related fitness.

The purpose of these courses is to enable students to develop basic-level and intermediate level knowledge of aerobic activities and fitness and to maintain or improve an individualized level of fitness.

The purpose of the Beginning Volleyball course is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge and skills in volleyball . Students enrolled in the Intermediate Volleyball course develop intermediate-level knowledge and skills in volleyball.

The purpose of these two courses are to enable students to acquire basic and intermediate level knowledge and skills in weight training, improve muscular strength and endurance, and begin to enhance self-image.

The purpose of the course is to develop and apply the mechanical principles and techniques as they apply to the specific sport related activities while incorporating rules, strategies, and tactics.

The purpose of this course is to enable students to develop understanding of fitness concepts, design a personal fitness program, and develop an individualized level of health-related fitness.

The purpose of this course is to develop and enhance healthy behaviors that influence lifestyle choices and student health and fitness. This course meets the graduation requirement for Physical Education for those students entering 9th grade for the first time beginning in 2007.*
*2 years of ROTC satisfy the H.O.P.E. graduation requirement.
