Leadership Education I-IV
18013000—18013300 (Grades 9-12) 1 Credit
Military science is a study of leadership, team-work, citizenship, patriotism and problem solving. Each class provides the student with the opportunity to gain self-confidence in their abilities to lead and work in groups. Students
establish long and short-term goals, maintain an academic and career plan and develop an understanding of financial planning. The goal of the program is to prepare students for life after high school. The program provides preparatory assistance for service academics, university scholarships and qualification for military enlistment.
Students are required to participate in outdoor physical activities and wear the Army uniform one day a week.
*2 years of ROTC satisfy the H.O.P.E. graduation requirement.
