3D Running Club

  • Club Description
  • Club Goal
  • Sponsor: Coach Sommer
  • Coaches

This group gives all athletes a chance to run and train all year long. No one is too fast or too slow to join this group.  The participants run distance, speed work, sandpits, hills, speed ladders, speed ropes, parachutes, and intervals on the track. They run at FGCU Parking Garages, Ft. Myers Beach Bridge, long runs from various areas, the high school, and road races all over the states, proudly displaying their bright orange team jerseys.

The goal of the club is to have each kid/ adult reach their full potential whether it be to lose weight, just stay active, or to get in better shape. All ages are welcome to run with the group.  The group currently includes a variety of age groups from middle school kids to grown adults. During participation in local races, each participant has a goal that they strive to meet.  This helps the athletes gain speed during every race as they try to beat their “PR” (personal record) by taking seconds off their most recent time.
